Day drinking

Open from midday, for the people who work round here.

Cabo is on Minories, in the City, which means you can be sitting down with a drink a few minutes after you leave your desk. Afternoons and early evenings are quieter, warmer and easier to get a table in.

What the afternoon is like

Daylight, music down, room to talk.

In the afternoon the music is at a level where a table of eight can hear each other, the booths are free, and the bar is not three deep. It is the version of the room most people who work in the City will actually use.

Plug sockets by the booths, bar snacks and sharing plates from the kitchen, and a team who will not rush you out. From about seven on a Friday it starts to turn, by nine it is a different place entirely, and it stays that way until four in the morning.

  • Open from midday, Tuesday to Saturday — to eleven Tuesday to Thursday, to four in the morning on Friday and Saturday, and shut to the public on Monday and Sunday
  • Walk in, or book a table for a group — both work in the day
  • Bar snacks and platters, plus coffee if the round has not started yet
  • Big tables for team lunches and leaving drinks
  • Daytime private hire on any day of the week

Good for

Four reasons people come in before dark.

After work

The Thursday round

Aldgate is 3 minutes away, Tower Hill and Fenchurch Street 5. Get a booth before six and you will keep it.

Teams

Leaving drinks

Twenty to forty people, a tab behind the bar and a corner of the room. Tell us the headcount and we will hold the space.

Weekends

Long afternoons

Saturday from midday, long before the night end of it starts. Sunday is private hire only, so it is yours by arrangement. Slow start, good light, nobody checking the time.

Daytime

Work that is not at work

Away days, press days, castings and filming. The room is free most daytimes and takes a projector.

Tuesday to Thursday, 16:00 to 19:00

After work

The hour or two between leaving a desk in the City and going home. House cocktails, wine by the glass, draught beer and bar snacks, in a room quiet enough to hear each other.

Walk in, or book a table. Groups of eight or more are better off asking us first.

Tuesday to Saturday, from midday

Day drinking

The bar is open through the afternoon. Tables are easy to get, the room is warm and light at the front, and the kitchen does snacks all day.

No minimum spend on daytime tables. Last food orders half an hour before close.

Saturday sittings

Bottomless

A sitting with bottomless prosecco, house spritz or beer alongside something to eat. Pick your time when you book.

Bottomless runs for 60 minutes from the start of your sitting. Everyone on the table takes part. One drink at a time, and last orders five minutes before the end. We will not serve anyone who has had enough.

Friday and Saturday, before 21:00

Early tables for groups

Come early on a late night and the room is yours to sit in properly before the floor fills. The bar is open to four in the morning, so an early table still has the whole night in front of it. Booths and floor tables both available.

Early tables are held until 21:00. Deposit and minimum spend, where they apply, are set when you book.

Bringing the team?

Twenty people upwards is worth booking rather than chancing. Send us the date and the headcount and we will hold a section of the room.
